Una madre totalmente indecente se enfrenta a una pena  bastante significativa de prisión después que ella admitiera el uso de uno de sus bebés muertos para reclamar miles de libras en beneficios.

María Pridmore, de 36 años, cobraba las prestaciones por hijo nacido que les da el gobierno, en el nombre de su  recién nacido Kia, el que había muerto cuando tenía sólo dos semanas de edad en diciembre de 2009.

Un tribunal escuchó que Pridmore sufrió 14 abortos involuntarios, muerte fetal y la pérdida de Kia, durante un período de 13 años antes de finalmente tener una hija sana en el 2012.

También afirmó haber percibido falsamente beneficios por otro niño a pesar de que el joven no vive con ella.

En una audiencia anterior, admitió siete cargos de fraude por embolsarse prestaciones entre enero del 2001 y marzo del 2013.
